Know where your crowd goes.

Footfall in every area of your event, how long people stay there and the routes they take between them, so you can prove value to sponsors and plan the site on evidence. Rent the sensors for a single event, or install them at a permanent site.

Attendance only tells half the story.

A headline attendance figure says how many people came, not where they went once inside, how long they stayed or how they moved around the site.

  • Gate counts stop at the gate

Ticket scans and entry counts show how many came in, not which stages, zones or trader areas they visited.

  • Sponsors want time, not just traffic

A sponsor weighing up next year wants to know how many people visited their area and how long they stayed, not just the event total.

  • Routes across the site are guesswork

Without knowing how people move between areas, layouts, signage and stewarding get planned from memory rather than evidence.

Footfall, dwell time and journeys, area by area.

Sensors in each area of your event count the people there by hour and measure how long they stay. Working together, they show the journeys people take between areas. It runs on the same sensor network that already counts more than 150 venues for over 75 customers.

  1. Footfall in every area

Counts by hour for each stage, zone, entrance and trader area, so you can see which parts of the site drew the biggest crowds, and when.

  2. Dwell time where it matters

See how long people stay in each area, so sponsors, traders and programmers know which spaces hold attention and which people pass straight through.

  3. Journeys between areas

Multiple sensors across the site show the routes people take from one area to the next and which paths are busiest, so layouts and signage follow real flows.

  4. Rent for a single event

No long-term contract needed for a one-off event. Rent sensors for the dates you need, or install them at a site you use all year.

Questions event organisers ask

Event footfall analytics shows how many people visit each area of your site, how long they stay and how they move between areas, so you can prove value to sponsors and plan the next event on evidence. Sensors can be rented for a single event.

How do you measure footfall in different areas of an event?

Sensors placed in each area you want to understand, such as stages, zones, entrances and trader areas, count people throughout the event. The counts feed a dashboard and reports by area and hour.

Can you measure dwell time in specific areas?

Yes. Sensors measure how long people stay in an area, so you can compare dwell time across stages, sponsor activations, food areas and other spaces on your site.

How do multiple sensors track journeys around a site?

Each sensor picks up the WiFi signals phones send out, and each phone's identifier is hashed into a scrambled code. When the same code is picked up by sensors in different areas, the data shows how people move between them: where they came from, where they went next and which routes are busiest. The more areas covered, the fuller the picture.

Can we see footfall live during the event?

Yes. The dashboard shows live counts for each area as the event runs, so your team can see where people are now as well as looking back afterwards.

Can we give sponsors footfall and dwell time for their area?

Yes. You decide which figures to share, such as how many people visited a sponsor's activation and how long they stayed, and take them from your reports.

Can we rent sensors for a single event?

Yes. Sensors can be rented for the dates of your event, so a one-off or seasonal event can be measured without a long-term contract. Hire terms are agreed for each event. Sites used all year round can have them installed permanently instead.

Does it work at free, unticketed events?

Yes. Counting does not depend on tickets or wristbands, so open-access events such as parades, markets and town festivals get footfall, dwell time and journey data too.

Can we compare this year's event with last year's?

Yes, once both have been measured. Set one event, day or area against another to compare footfall, dwell time and the routes people took.

Does tracking journeys identify people?

No. Each phone's identifier is hashed, replacing it with a scrambled code, as part of how we comply with GDPR, and footfall, dwell time and journeys are reported as totals and trends, such as how many people moved from one area to another, not information about who people are. We will take your data protection team through how the data is collected and handled as part of setting up.
